Dodgers vs. Marlins MLB Pick – August 15th

It was not quite enjoy the assault on Tuesday, but the Dodgers opened another blowout win around the Miami Marlins last night in Marlins Park. On the insides of a 15-1 win, the Dodgers did not slow down and slammed the Marlins with a score of 9-1. Justin Turner opened up the scoring with a solo shot Eliaser Hernandez and the Dodgers kept assaulting.
The crime provedn’t the ones getting after it, either. For a second successive night, the Dodgers acquired output from their offensive and pitching units. Clayton Kershaw was on fire and got through half of this game with a great match. He left the competition with only 2 hits yielded and 10 strikeouts. If their rotation will fire on all cylinders such as that come October, then the Dodgers are going to be an impossible out from the postseason.
We have to remember this was the Miami Marlins that Dustin May and Kershaw chewed up and spit out, however. The Marlins would be the worst crime in the major leagues and they’ve struggled to score against a lot of pitchers. But Kershaw has frustrated a great deal of hitters and May will be the very best pitching prospect in the Dodgers’ system.
Next up in the turning to the Dodgers is Walker Buehler. He is another choice in their rotation that is deadly on the bump as well. There are not a lot of rotations in baseball that will lose two associates and still fire like this.
The Indians are having success without Corey Kluber and Carlos Carrasco, and likewise, the Dodgers remain thriving without Rich Hill and Ross Stripling. Buehler will get the phone against Caleb Smith, who is hoping that the Dodger bats are finished with hitting the laces the ball off this afternoon. Head below to our free Dodgers vs. Marlins select.

The Yankees sent Caleb Smith into the Marlins in part of the Giancarlo Stanton deal a Few Years Back. He has been showing any steady progress and has been a bright spot in an otherwise down time for the Marlins. After posting an ERA of 7.71 in nine appearances with the Yankees at 2017, Smith enhanced that in his first time in Miami. Smith published a 4.19 ERA in 16 starts and has again improved on that figure, at least so far.
Barring a significant setback late in the season, he’s going to have an ERA under 4.00 for first time in his young important league career. His last outing is just one to forget, having allowed 10 hits and 6 earned runs in 4.2 innings against the Braves. In his last few outings, Smith has also already posted a 5.94 ERA and 1.56 WHIP in 16.2 innings. Against this red-hot Dodgers’ crime, he must expect to perform better than Yamamoto and Hernandez, but that still may not bring the Marlins close to a win here.
Walker Buehler has his strategy against the Marlins in the past. They are hitting only .211 without the home runs against him in 57 at-bats. Overall, not too many clubs have been able to hit Buehler challenging this season. It is not only the dreadful Marlins’ crime, who are dead last in the majors in runs scored per match. Buehler posted an ERA of 2.21 and 1.13 WHIP in his past three outings.
He has surrendered only 1-run at 15 innings of work and allowed 1 or no runs in 3 of his past four starts. The Dodgers are rolling and I really don’t see it stopping on Thursday. Don’t expect a beatdown such as we saw the last two days, however the Dodgers probably still have control during this match for a 6-3 or even 5-2 victory.
