European Leagues announce Champions League proposal

The best leagues of europe have declared a Champions League proposal which instills radical changes wanted by elite nightclubs.
UEFA have been working with the European Club Association (ECA) to get a proposal to redesign the tournament from 2024, substituting it with a format featuring promotion and relegation which could mainly turn it into a closed contest.
It would mean locking in 24 of their 32 Champions League areas as well as having eight-team groups giving clubs 14 games each that would finally squeeze dates for leagues and cups.
However, that the 29-nation European Leagues group restricting teams to six group matches, and says proposals incorporate no promotion or relegation involving the Champions League and Europa League in 2024.
In addition they state Champions League entries”must be based on qualification from the national competitions” except for the winner retaining its place.
Though mostly supporting the status quo, the leagues state they are”in favour of inventions [which ] contribute to the increase of professional football as a whole and not only for quite a few.”
While leagues and clubs are in their proposals, the consultation on changes of UEFA has thus far stalled.
