Roma have reached an agreement to sign midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan on a season-long loan deal.
The bar will probably pay a loan fee and the wages of the 30-year-old, but there is no alternative or obligation to buy the Armenia global.
Mkhitaryan joined the Gunners out of Manchester United in January 2018 in a swap deal between Chile ahead Alexis Sanchez.
He’s scored nine goals in 59 appearances for Arsenal.
Mkhitaryan featured as a replacement in Sunday’s 2-2 north London derby draw with Tottenham, however, has travelled into the funds to finalise his movement.
His playing time at Emirates Stadium was likely to be restricted this year and Arsenal boss Unai Emery plans to use his death for a chance to give more moments to young players.
The Premier League club remain open to allowing defender Shkodran Mustafi go before the transfer deadline of Monday – but it appears improbable that the 27-year-old German will leave.
