Odds cut on Mason Mount making England’s Euro 2020 squad

Bookmakers have cut odds on Chelsea starlet Mason Mount getting a place in England’s initial 23-man Euro 2020 squad.
Having been priced in 15/2 last week, the 20-year-old is now only 7/2. He places him just behind Jack Grealish (2/1), who at the weekend extended his unwanted record of consecutive Premier League declines as a player.
Having played under Frank Lampard’s stewardship on loan at Derby County, Mount is already enjoying tons of game-time today the set have been shrouded in the blue colours of Chelsea.
The child scored a hard-fought goal in the seventh minute of his Premier League home introduction in Chelsea’s 1-1 draw with Leicester City on Sunday.
Mount was a crucial player for Derby last year, scoring 11 days from midfield. That effort has earned him a full England call-up and lots are anticipating him to force himself into Gareth Southgate’s Euro 2020 plans this season.
Together with Chelsea at the winner of a transport ban, director Frank Lampard is very likely to entrust his younger players and he rates Mount quite highly.
Teammates Ross Barkley (5/6) along with Ruben Loftus-Cheek (5/6) will also be fancied to make the squad, even although the latter will have ground to make up after his lengthy injury lay-off.
