Samuel Eto’o announces retirement from football

Inter Milan former Barcelona and Chelsea striker Samuel Eto’o has announced his retirement from football at age 38.
The Cameroon who made his debut scored more than 350 goals along with his team career, winning the Champions League after and two with Barcelona with Inter.
Eto’o, also called African Player of the Year four times, published the news on his own official Instagram, stating:”The end. Towards a brand fresh challenge. Thank you all, enormous love.”
After connecting Real Madrid in Kadji Sports Academy at Cameroon, Eto’o was loaned to Mallorca, Espanyol and Leganes before going to Barcelona in 2004.
Afer getting the record holder for many La Liga appearances by an African, Eto’o transferred to Inter Milan beneath Jose Mourinho in 2009 prior to the twilight of his career saw spells in Anzhi Makhachkala, Chelsea, Everton, Sampdoria, Antalyaspor and Konyaspor and eventually Qatar SC.
Later making the squad of Cameroon at age 17, internationally, Eto’o has been the youngest player in the 1998 World Cup.
Eto’o also went on to claim gold at the 2000 Olympics and 2 Africa Cup of Nations names in 2000 and 2002.
