Super Rugby to make earliest start to season in 2020

Super Rugby will create its first start to a year in the history of the competition next year, using the game.
Auckland Blues will sponsor the Waikato Chiefs on January 31 and also the tournament will operate uninterrupted until July, once the new global Evaluation window starts.
In previous non-World Cup years, the hemisphere competition took a three-week fracture before restarting early July, to accommodate an window June.
“An earlier than usual beginning has been required to make it through this 21-week championship and give the federal teams with a transparent week leading into the July evaluation series,” explained Andy Marinos, the chief executive of governing body SANZAAR.
The 2020 Super Rugby year will be the time for the Sunwolves of Japan following on them cut following the decision to take their support of the team of the Japan Rugby Union.
