UFC: Diaz vs Pettis Odds Analysis

It has been almost three years since we’ve seen Nate Diaz in the Octagon, but he earns his return against Anthony”Showtime” Pettis at the co-main occasion in UFC 241 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California on August 18. Pettis produced his UFC welterweight debut last time out in March, which makes the jump from lightweight, and he became the first person to knock out Stephen Thompson.
Online sportsbook BetOnline has put the likelihood with both fighters sitting in -115 as a pick’ em.
Anthony Pettis was around a win-one, lose-one streak over his last seven battles and hasn’t earned back-to-back successes because he won five in a row by 2011 to 2014. He has become an underdog in every one of the last few fights and had near pick’em odds in his knockout loss to Dustin Poirier in November 2017.
Diaz has never been favored to Josh Thomson at 2013 since his weight reduction. He cried with Conor McGregor as a +300 underdog in his fight plus a +315 underdog vs Michael Johnson.
Pettis definitely has been the more active fighter recently, competing seven days because Diaz was in actions, so there is tremendous value on Showtime, in case you think in ring rust.
These are two fighters, with cardio that is great skills and great. Pettis is more creative and contains really solid kicks, while Diaz is long and he mocks his opponents whenever they step backwards as he would rather get into a phone booth and swap hands. Diaz does a terrific job throwing mixes and flurries .
The path to victory for Pettis is assaulting the direct leg of Diaz, although I think the Stockton native needs to back Showtime from the fence and wear on him with punches in bunches and clinch work to deserve the win.
Odds in BetOnline at August 2
